Community

CS1P students Unite!

One of the best ways to learn how to program is to form a community of people (also called "friends") who work together to solve problems. You can help each other find solutions, discuss lecture notes, go through examples and talk to each other, to try to make it a bit more bearable.

This page is here to allow CS1P students to post when they are planning to meet, to allow others to join their groups and share their knowledge. Don't be shy about posting stuff here, whether it's a regular weekly session in the lab or an unwind session in the QMU.

Wider community - who else can I ask for help

Here are some ideas:

  • Your friends (try making friends with computer scientists in higher years - they've done it before!)
  • Tutors
  • Quintin and Simon
  • ku.ca.alg.scd|szp#ikiw siht detrats ohw edud ehT
  • The official python-help mailing list. Send an email to help at python dot org (no need to register or anything) and a volunteer will respond to your query, usually within a few hours.
